It’s almost that time of year when outdoor theaters start popping up around the Washington region. It is a great outdoor activity for all ages to enjoy and best of all it’s FREE!
Here are a few tips to make sure you have the ultimate outdoor movie theater experience:
Get there early to stake out the perfect spot.
Bring cards, a ball, or a board game to play before the show starts.
Pack a couple of blankets. One to lay on top of and the other to cozy up in. You may even want to pack a waterproof liner just in case the ground is wet –OR- if it's more comfortable pack a beach chair or fold up chair for the film.
Bring plenty of water bottles or other favorite drinks.
Pack a picnic. Some outdoor theaters have food trucks set up, but for those that don’t plan ahead and pop some popcorn and pack your favorite candy for the show.
Throw in some bug spray. You never know if the bugs will be bad, so it never hurts to have some Off on hand.
Now all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
