DIY Summer Home Projects
August 1, 2017
Kick back and enjoy the slower pace of summer. Spend some time working on your home and getting to those projects you’ve put on the back burner. I’m sure each of you have your own list of household projects you’ve been meaning to get to, but if you are looking for some fun, family-friendly activities to do around the house this summer, we’ve come up with a few DYI projects for everyone to enjoy.
Plant a garden. Summer is the perfect time to grow fruit and vegetables in your back yard. If a whole garden seems a bit overwhelming, start smaller and grow some of your favorite herbs.
Light up your yard. Summer is typically full of backyard BBQs and enjoying the great outdoors, so spend some time illuminating your yard this summer. Whether hanging lanterns, or string lights in your backyard, or putting in landscape lighting along your walkway or in your bushes, these touches will be sure to enhance the nighttime curb appeal of your home and you and your guests will be sure to enjoy the outdoor evenings even more.
Add on a deck or patio. This is the perfect time of year to add to your outdoor space. If you have been dreaming of a deck or outdoor patio now is the time to construct it.
Add some color. Thinking about changing your front door color or shutters? Seize the opportunity and pick a fun new color to spruce up your home.
There are so many DYI projects that you could take on this summer. Focus on what is most important and remember to have a little fun doing it!
