Having sold two previous homes without the assistance of a realtor we prepared to sell our family home ourselves. After lots of preparation and discussion we decided that with family, work and life commitments we just didn’t have time to devote to the process. Reluctantly we decided to use a realtor. We sought out and prepared to interview several. We interviewed Betty and immediately felt the energy we sought. Betty provided us with a sound strategy on pricing, information on what to expect, etc. After our meeting we decided Betty was a good fit. Betty quickly (we had a very aggressive time frame to get listed) arranged for pictures, marketing materials, and the listing. Boy were we wrong. After the contract is where Betty really shined. An unforeseen issue at inspection appeared to be a deal breaker for both sides with no solution in sight. During the process Betty systematically and personally communicated with us and provided information related to each phase of the sale. I do not know how we would have navigated our relocation to Silver Spring without Betty! In a real estate market where multiple offers, escalation clauses, and even cash offers were becoming the norm, I had accepted that we would have to compromise on our new home.  Fortunately, Betty did not accept this, and worked tirelessly to find us the perfect home without ever asking us to budge on our wish-list or budget.  Our offer was accepted, even though there was a competing, higher offer, and I know that this is due entirely to Betty’s skill.  The services she provides extend far beyond those of a typical Realtor. ​
